Improved Navigation Links and Code Cleanup
Last night I made some improvements to the website.
- I improved the navigation links on the Law pages. Any of them can be reached from here: Index of the Law. They can also now be reached from each other.
- Among other things, I made it easier for visitors to e-mail me from any page.
- I also added a donations link for anyone who would like to support this work.
- I also added these two improvements to the blog pages.
- I started cleaning up the html code on the Law pages. I began with the adultery page, because it is the first one in alphabetical order and because it is one of the most popular pages here. Using the validator at validator.w3.org, I was able to track down and eliminate 600 errors in the code.
- I also deleted all the individual font coloring and replaced it with css styling. You can’t tell because my css file is set to duplicate the green verse references and red references to the words of Yashua, but if I decide on a whim to make the verse references pink and our Lord’s words yellow, I can now do it with two lines of code.
- I verified that all the permissions on the files seem to be correct so that nobody will get a pesky “Forbidden” error.
There are still 26 pages left to run steps 2 and 3 on. I’ll probably do one page at a time until it’s all done. In the meantime, I will take time to write meaningful articles.
